Battle at Blairally Unites Eugene’s Skate and Music Communities on September 5
All-ages S.K.A.T.E. tournament and outdoor punk festival leads into a 21+ evening concert, with proceeds benefiting the Y.E.S.S. Foundation
Organized by Top Five Records and members of Eugene band The Unbranded in collaboration with Blairally, the event will bring together local skaters, musicians, vendors, food trucks and community organizations for a full day of competition and live music.
The event will run from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. as an all-ages gathering, followed by a 21-and-over indoor concert beginning at 8 p.m.
Net proceeds from Battle at Blairally will benefit the Y.E.S.S. Foundation and its effort to build an indoor skatepark and youth center in downtown Eugene.
S.K.A.T.E. Tournament:
The centerpiece of the daytime event will be a head-to-head S.K.A.T.E. tournament featuring local skaters competing for cash prizes.
In the S.K.A.T.E. format, competitors take turns setting tricks for their opponents to match. A missed trick earns a letter, and the match continues until one skater spells S.K.A.T.E.

“We wanted to put on the kind of event we would want to attend: good local bands, a real skate competition and a reason for the community to show up,” said Daniel Brawley of The Unbranded and co-organizer of Battle at Blairally. “The larger goal is to help build momentum for an indoor skatepark and youth center in Eugene.”
Battle at Blairally will also feature local vendors, food trucks and community organizations throughout the daytime event.
